Nuberu Light
Nuberu Light is a fingering-weight version of the original Nuberu swater. It is a yoke sweater with stranded colourwork and it’s knitted from the top down. The yoke is very easy – only one contrasting colour and one type of increase. This is an oversized sweater designed to be worn with 15–25 cm / 6–10 inches of positive ease. Nuberu means black cloud in the dialect spoken in the northern Spanish region where I was born.
MATERIALS
- 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles. Adjust if necessary to achieve gauge – see below. If you tend to knit colourwork a bit tight, you should go up a needle size for that section.
- 3 mm (US 2.5) circular needles or two sizes smaller than the main needles for the ribbing.
- Markers, tapestry needle and waste yarn or extra cables to put the sleeve stitches on hold.
