Beginner Hat

£3.25
Sale price  £3.25 Regular price

This hat is the next step for those who have learned to knit with the Cuello Principiante and now want to learn how to do decreases. Of course, it can be made independently of the cowl – the pattern includes step-by-step instructions assuming you are learning to knit. It is also a quick and fun project for more experienced knitters. If you are learning to knit, you can use the same videos as for the Cuello Principiante (in Spanish only) for almost all techniques, noting when the hat pattern changes (for example, the number of needles needed, the number of stitches to cast on, or the stitch sequence used for the ribbing). You can find the videos for the Cuello Principiante on the Learn to knit page.

For this pattern, there is a new video explaining how to make decreases, how to place stitches on the needles when the hat becomes too narrow for the circular needles, how to bind off stitches at the end, and how to weave in the ends. The link to this video appears in the pattern.
